Our last project of the week showcased how the application of vinyl graphics can make your fleet investments work for you while on the job. This weeks project shows how important graphics are to reinforcing your image that is at the heart of your business. This client made a large investment in their vehicle because it best portrays their image than they made a small investment with us to drive their image home. This goes right to our third “I” of influence. Look for this vehicle next time you are on Catalina Island and let us know how well you think this black Hummer would promote their business if the graphics were removed?

When size is important, banners are one of the best promotional values available. While banners are a great way to identify, inform, and influence they aren’t the best option for every promotion. Vinyl wall graphic is another good choice for temporary promotions, particularly when you want a clean look to help attract attention to your promotion. If you are attending the Laguna Beach Pageant of the Masters, we encourage you to take a look at a different way of making a visual impact. Here the pagent organizers were expecting their new sponsor to come in with a a large banner to be mounted to a wall, yet our customer wanted to have a clean background image that enhanced rather than detracted from their promotion. Depending on what you are trying to accomplish, let us know what your goals are and will help you get the right combination of materials that will best meet your needs.

Today, the Food and Drug Administration unveiled startling graphics with image relevant messaging (click here to see the New Cig Graphics) under the mandate that they must cover half of the front and half of the back of every cigarette pack sold in this country by September 2012. While some of the images are quite shocking their intent reinforces what we call the three “I’s” at Design Dynamics. Each image is intended to identify, inform, and influence on the harmful effects of smoking in a planned effort to cut the smoking rate among Americans in half by 2020..
Besides having the graphics with relevant messaging take a prominent position on the packaging, the other smart thing they are doing here is rotating simultaneously these images among all cigarette brands as part of their campaign. This is smart because graphics, messaging, and signage becomes tired over prolonged exposure. Consider how for decades, cigarette packs have carried a health warning from the U.S. surgeon general yet people continue to ignore this precisely worded warning as they risk their health to cigarettes. Critics call it a relatively unobtrusive message that has long out lived its effectiveness. Our position at Design Dynamics is that when a promotion or a message has outlived its effectiveness it is time to change and that is exactly the type of work we like to do for our clients. Call us at 714-429-7980 to learn how we can help you identify, inform, and influence people through your graphics and signage.
We aplaude our Federal Government for bringing forward more persuasive labeling that can help people avoid and/or quit smoking. While the images maybe troubling to some, the pictures and strong warnings will be impossible not to see. As . Dr. Lawrence Deyton, director of the FDA’s Center for Tobacco Products, said in an interview. “If people are shocked, they should be shocked because these are the true health effects of smoking,”

Identify, inform and influence. These are the “3 i’s” of what we try to help our customers realize in the graphics and signage they get from Design Dynamics. The “3 i’s work particularly well on windows that are located in high traffic areas that are not serving a useful sales purpose. In this before and after comparison you see how we turned a useless window into an attractive graphic that identified and influenced. Call us to learn how easy this can be done for you.

Affordable and custom are two concepts not typically used together yet possible at Design Dynamics through our UV flatbed printer. In ths photo you see a 4’x8′ printed sheet of For Sale signs prior to our cutting them down to size. While these are all the same sign, we could have just as easily turned them into 20 individual custom signs because of our digital printing capability. A screen printer does not have the ability to cost effectively produce small quantities let alone a number of different custom version. This capability to work cost effectively with a number of different versions is at the core of what makes us different. We are the best in Orange County for small, custom corrugated plastic sign runs at affordable prices. Call us and will show you how we can help you better identify, inform, and influence your target audience.

Recently while driving on a neighboring freeway, I took a rock to my windshield from a passing gravel truck. Didn’t think anything more about until the next day when I took my vehicle into our local car wash. To my surprise the windshield had cracked after being washed. When I pressed the owner about the damage to my vehicle he calmly walked me over to a sign hanging over the vacuuming area that clearly states that they are not liable for “cracked windshields due to chipping.” At that moment all of my arguments for reimbursement went out the door. He had a sign that clearly stated what he wasn’t liable for and as a result I got to pay $280 for a new windshield. Effective signage not only saves you money it saves you aggravation. Call us at 714-429-7980 to learn how we can help you position the right signage at your business that identifies, informs, and influences.
